A Jasper man is behind bars after police found him half-asleep under a parked car.

Jasper Police responded to the 400 block of Giesler Road for reports of an intoxicated male knocking on doors and stumbling on the roadway around 2:30 Sunday morning.

The subject, later identified as 26-year-old Zachary Hoppenjans had a blood alcohol content of .226%.

Hoppenjans was transported to the Dubois County Security Center and preliminarily charged with Public Intoxication.
