Stephen R. “Steve” Miley, age 67 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.
 
Steve was born in Petersburg, Indiana on November 7, 1951 to Claude Sr. and Ruth (Bradfield) Miley.  He married Mildred M. Beckman on November 7, 1976 in St. Celestine Catholic Church.     
 
He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
 
He worked for Jasper Engines in Jasper, and had also worked for B&G Tire in Jasper for many years. 
 
Steve was a member of the Celestine Community Club and enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.
 
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Miley of Jasper, one daughter, Stephanie Miley, Jasper, one son, Pat Miley (Kim) of Jasper,  two granddaughters, Anna and Cora Miley of Jasper, three sisters, Donna Meece (Kenny), Oakland City, Reva Cockerham (John), Monroe City, Jane Southwood (Don), Petersburg, and one brother, Henry Miley (Loretta) of Petersburg.
 
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, Beulah Howes, and one brother, Claude Miley Jr.  
 
A Celebration of Life and Military Rites for Stephen R. Miley will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.  The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military rites.  
 
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time on Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel.  
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
