Two people are behind bars after trying to evade a State Trooper.

Tuesday evening troopers were patrolling State Road 56 when they tried pulling over 48-year-old Jacquline L. Turner of Medora who later fled the scene.

Turner was located at a residence early Wednesday morning.

Troopers later learned that Turner was wanted out of Washington County, along with 42-year-old Jeffery Lee Wilhoite of Bedford, Kentucky, who fled the scene on foot.

Wilhoite was found in a nearby tree line, armed with a pistol.

Upon investigation, troopers found over 10 grams of methamphetamine.

Both Wilhoite and Turner are booked into the Washington County Jail.

Wilhoite is facing charges of:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 3 Felony,
  • Resisting Law Enforcement – Level 6 Felony,
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 6 Felony,
  • Possession of Hypodermic Needle – Level 6 Felony,
  • Possession of a Handgun without License – A Misdemeanor.

Turner is facing charges of:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine – Level 6 Felony,
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance – Level 6 Felony,
  • Possession of Marijuana – B Misdemeanor,
  • Possession of Paraphernalia – C Misdemeanor.
  • Warrant – Operating While Intoxicated Prior and Possession of Paraphernalia.
