Vincennes University Jasper Campus recently partnered with local businesses and organizations to give high school students the chance to explore local job opportunities.

During the daylong Tour of Opportunity, over 550 students from four Dubois County School corporations learned about various career choices in the area.

Including technology, agriculture, advanced manufacturing, law enforcement, and building trades.

Students had the chance to interact with VU Jasper administrators, instructors, as well as industry experts throughout the day.

Some students even completed a skills assessment test and participated in various hands-on activities like bricklaying.

The Tour of Opportunity was made possible by VU Jasper, Dubois Strong, Hub 19, the Patoka Valley Co-op, and the four Dubois County Schools.
