87-year-old Betty Vaeth of Ferdinand, passed away on Friday, November 15th at Brookside Village in Jasper.

Betty was born January 14, 1932 in Cannelton, IN to Oscar and Sarah (Sally) Bolin. Betty was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church.

Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles, feeding birds, bird watching, cats and taking drives downtown.

Betty is survived by three daughters, Jennifer (David Jr.) Blackgrove, Linda (Jerome) Boeckman and Judy (Steve) Weyer all of Ferdinand; one son, John (Erin) Vaeth of Louisville, Ky; three brothers, Kenneth (Connie) Bolin of Cannelton, Larry Bolin of Evansville and Danny Joe Bolin of Tell City; one sister, Norma Smith of Tell City, seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Sarah) Boeckman of Columbus, OH., Jason (Tammy) Weyer of Birdseye, Scott Weyer of Ferdinand, Andrea (Andrew) Krause of Louisville, Ky., Stacy (Luke) Gessner, Reese Blackgrove and Ryan Blackgrove all of Ferdinand; seven great-grandchildren, Calvin Gessner, Nolan and Nash Weyer, Grace and Claire Boeckman, Amelia and Drew Krause.

Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hedinger; two brothers, Frank and Bruce Bolin and her husbands, Leo Hedinger and Ignatius Vaeth.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8:00 PM at Becher funeral home in Ferdinand and also Wednesday from 7-9:30 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com
