The transition committee tasked with merging the Ferdinand and Huntingburg Chambers of Commerce is excited to announce the name, mission, and vision of the new chamber that will begin operations on January 1, 2020.

Executive Director of the Huntingburg Chamber of Commerce Sara Schroeder says that the Chambers are very excited about the upcoming merger.

Schroeder plans to step down as executive director once the chamber officially begins operations.

The vision of the Dubois County Chamber of Commerce is to quote “To support our business community with a unified voice” unquote.

And the Mission of the Dubois County Chamber of Commerce is quote “The Dubois County Chamber of Commerce serves businesses of all sizes by providing leadership, legislative advocacy, and member-to-member collaborative opportunities by working at a county, regional, and state level to foster growth and profitability for our members.” unquote.

The transition committee envisions this new chamber will be unlike any that we have seen in Dubois County and will be a group that will work in collaboration with all other organizations throughout the county.

A search will begin for individuals wanting to serve on the board of directors of the new chamber. There will be an application process and those interested should contact Sara at huntingburgchamber@gmail.com. It is expected a search for a new director will begin in December.
