Dubois County Soil and Water District and Dubois Strong teamed up to host this year’s Southwest Agricultural Economic Summit.

Farmers, local producers, and agriculture business officials gathered at Vincennes University Jasper Campus on Friday morning to learn about the latest economic programs, educational opportunities across the county and even learn more about the US trade tariffs and Farm commodity prices.

Dubois Strong President, Ed Cole, explains how the summit impacts the local agriculture community.

By coming to the summit, local farmers and agriculture business officials were able to get a better understanding of how weather impacted this year’s crops and new opportunities and internship programs in Indiana Agriculture.

However, the summit didn’t only impact the local agriculture community.  It was also a big stepping stone for Vincennes University.

A lot has changed in the Agriculture Program at Vincennes University. Cole tells us more.
