Two people are behind bars after stealing from Walmart over the weekend.

Police say Walmart employees allegedly saw 23-year-old Jessica Adams stealing more than $1,000 dollars’ worth of items.

Adams then got into a car driven by 31-year-old Matthew Cronin of Tell City and fled the scene.

After stopping the vehicle at the Newton Street and Baden Strasse intersection, Adams fled on foot.

Police caught her a short time later.

Adams was booked into the Dubois County Security Center and charged with felony theft and resisting law enforcement, and on active warrants for neglect of a dependent, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of salvia.

Cronin was booked into the Dubois County Security Center and charged with driving on a suspended license and criminal trespass.
