An investigation is underway after a body was found in the Ohio River in Perry County.

Perry County Sheriff, Alan Malone, says first responders were dispatched to a boat ramp in Rome after a fisherman reported finding a body on the bank on Monday evening.

Indiana State Police are in charge of this investigation.
