A Jasper man was arrested Monday morning on battery and strangulation charges
27-year-old Jorge Diaz was arrested and charged with a Level 6 Felony Count of Strangulation and a Level 6 Felony Count of Domestic Battery.
At around 4:45 am, Jasper Police officers were called to the area of 505 Village Court to the report of a domestic incident. When officers arrived, they found Diaz in the parking lot.
After an investigation, officers discovered that Diaz strangled and battered a female victim at her residence.
Diaz was taken in and booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
