Spencer County has now had its first COVID-19 related death.

Confirmed last night over the Spencer County Coroner’s Office’s Facebook page, the death was due to complications secondary to COVID-19.

The deceased was a 65-year-old female who was employed at Signature Health Care in Newburgh.

This was one of the first five previously confirmed cases in Spencer County.
