A historic church is preparing for renovations.

The St. Joseph Parish has announced that they intend to restore and renovate St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Studies for the renovation began in 2017 and now work will move forward.

Work will be focused on two areas.  First, starting in May will be exterior work including scaffolds and lifts to assist in the tuckpointing and conservation of the grand stone exterior, including the bell tower.

Upon successful completion of the capital campaign, September should see the start of the interior work that will close the structure for approximately one year.

Services will continue in the Parish Center.
