Daviess-Martin County REMC is urging residents to be vigilant about people on their property.
The company says that scammers/thieves are going onto properties, posing as “legal energy providers.”
Daviess-Martin County REMC linemen will identify themselves and can provide proof of employment.
If you notice anything suspicious on your property, call 911.
