A popular community, family-friendly event is coming back to Jasper!

The ninth annual Heartland Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, September 4th.

The race starts and finishes near the Spirit of Jasper Train Depot on Mill Street, overlooking the Patoka River. From there, runners make what is roughly a clockwise loop along mostly flat terrain through downtown and around the outskirts of the city, and finish with a roughly 1 1/2-mile stretch along the Jasper Riverwalk.

The Half Marathon runs from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.

The team challenge 4-person relay is from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.

The 5K run-walk is from 8:30 am to 10 am.

The Kid’s fun run takes place from 10 am to 12 noon.
