Indiana is facing the latest wave of COVID-19, with 4,733 new cases reported today for the state, and 68 new deaths. To date, there have been a total of 918,230 cases for COVID-19, and a total of 14,550 deaths reported in the state, with 461 additional deaths ruled as probably associated with COVID-19. There have also been 108 confirmed cases of Multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children. As of right now, only 54.2% of Indiana’s population is fully vaccinated.
Dubois County saw 40 new cases and no new deaths reported today by the Indiana Department of Health, with a 7 Day positivity rate of 15.1% amongst all tests, and 28.1% amongst Unique Individuals. To date, there have been a total of 7,521 cases for the county, and 123 Dubois County residents have died from the virus. As of right now, only 57.4% of the county is fully vaccinated.
For the surrounding counties: Spencer has 15 new cases, with 50.5% of its population vaccinated. Daviess has 24 new cases and 4 new deaths, with 36.2% of its population vaccinated. Martin has 15 new cases, with 40.2% of its population vaccinated. Lawrence has 44 new cases and 2 new deaths, with 48.1% of its population vaccinated. Orange has 9 new cases and 1 new death, with 48.1% of its population vaccinated. Pike has 25 new cases, with 42.3% of its population vaccinated. Crawford has 5 new cases, with 45.4% of its population vaccinated. Perry has 21 new cases, with 56.8% of its population vaccinated. And Warrick has 54 new cases, with 63.7% of its population vaccinated.
35.7% of ICU Beds for Indiana District 10 are in use for Covid alone.
