(Ferdinand, IN) Larry A. Werne, 73, of Ferdinand passed away June 2, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born in Washington, IN. on November 6, 1949, to Gilbert and Irene (Terwiske) Werne. He was united in marriage to Linda Head on September 9, 1972, in St. Ferdinand Church.

Larry was a member of the Ferdinand American Legion and the Ferdinand V.F.W.  He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and football.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Werne, one daughter, Karen (David) Willis of Gentryville, and two sons, Jason Werne of Loveland, OH., and Jonathan (Misty) Werne of Huntingburg. Seven grandchildren. Two great-grandchildren.Two sisters, Darla (Tom) Schipp of Ferdinand and Sharon (Kenneth) Persohn of Schnellville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Werne.
