(Rockport, IN) A search for a parolee took place in Rockport last week. Members of the Rockport Police Department, Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, and Indiana Parole were attempting to locate a person whose car was spotted at a Rockport residence. That individual was located and three went to jail when Brian Harrison, Crystal Basham, and Megan Hempen, all of Rockport, were all arrested as a result of those efforts.

While assisting Indiana Parole, Spencer County law enforcement gathered probable cause for a search warrant of the home that was later granted. Officers and Deputies found about 19.6 grams of methamphetamine, a syringe with methamphetamine inside, scales, small unused baggies, and other illegal items.

Brian Harrison and Megan Hempen were both arrested and charged with a Level 6 Felony Possession of Methamphetamine; Hempen also was issued a Class A Misdemeanor for Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Crystal Basham racked up three felonies with a Level 2 Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 3 Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Possession of a Syringe, as well as three Class A Misdemeanor charges for Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Drug.
