(Dubois County, IN) An alliance between the Indiana Department of Education and the Get Your Teach On (GYTO) program will soon bring their strategic framework for classroom growth to two local elementary schools. Ireland Elementary School and Jasper Elementary School have been selected among just twelve Hoosier schools to be chosen for the current GYTO cohort.

Cedar Crest participated in the program last year, and through various projects and GYTO implementations, established an engagement lab, remodeled the LGI room, installed a 360 projector, and more. Ireland Elementary educator, Lisa Kincer, and Jasper Elementary School Principal, Ryan Erny, submitted proposals to GYTO that were hand-selected for the partnership.

A recent Zoom meeting with the entire GYTO team informed both local schools that GYTO star, Amelia Capotosta, will be visiting each institution for four, two-day sessions. The partnership aims to change academics by adding new dimensions of growth.
