Philip Dean Letterman, age 59, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family at 4:35 p.m. CST on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. 

Dean was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on January 23, 1964, to Gayle and Cendia (Borden) Letterman. 

He had previously run the printing press for The Herald and Impressions Printing. 

He was a musician, especially a guitarist, and was an avid woodworker.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and his dogs.  

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. 

Surviving are his fiancé, Kathy Klee, Jasper, IN, two children, Tyler (girlfriend, Sarah Joas) Letterman, Birdseye, IN, and Whitney (significant other, Brent Williams) Letterman, Jasper, IN, seven grandchildren, his mother, Cendia Letterman, Jasper, IN, and two sisters, Darla (Bill) Niehaus, Ferdinand, Lisa (Russell Mehringer) Letterman, Huntingburg, IN.  

Preceding him in death is his father, Gayle Letterman and his stepmother, Sharon Letterman. 

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.   

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel.  Pastor LG Lance will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
