Margie was born to Lloyd and Irene (Sanders) Bolden on July 20, 1937 in Birdseye. After graduating from Birdseye High School, Margie worked as a pharmacist’s aid for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. After employment she met her husband, William “Sonny” Leonard. Together they had one son Jay Leonard. William “Sonny” Leonard preceded her in death in 2001.

Margie is survived by her son, Jay Leonard of Birdseye, her grandchildren, Abbey Stevens of Huntingburg, Carly Carnes of West Baden Springs, and Miles Leonard of Atlanta, GA. Three great grandchildren, Anderson, Ellery and Brecken Stevens. One brother, Harold “Fuzzy” (Edna) Bolden of Birdseye. Half- sisters, Sherry (Larry) Dollar of Avon, and Shelley Cummins of Corydon. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Bolden and a sister, Imelda Williams.

Margie loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her “little sweeters”. The family wishes to thank the care team at Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care.
