Late Friday night, July 5th, Trooper Austing Collins was working in Paoli when he observed a vehicle without headlights or taillights. Trooper Collins stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Adam Antkowiak. Antkowiak showed visible signs of impairment. Antkowiak was transported to the IU Health Hospital in Paoli for a chemical test. During a search of the vehicle, suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were located. Antkowiak was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail where he is being held on bond.

OVWI (W/Passenger Less than 18 in Vehicle) – Level 6 Felony

Neglect of a Dependent – Level 6 Felony

Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor

Possession of Paraphernalia – Class C Misdemeanor

Arresting Officer – Trooper Austin Collins

Assisting Officers – Sergeant Michael Allen, Trooper Noah Ewing & Trooper Mackenzi Alexander

Assisting Agency – Paoli Police Department

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law
