Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari are celebrating their 78th birthday on Saturday, August 3 with a special edition of the Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks show, featuring a few new scenes that pay tribute to the park’s birthday.

“This is a one-of-a-kind show,” says Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Fourth Generation Owner & Director of Communications. “On August 3, 1946, my Great-Grandfather, Louis J. Koch, opened Santa Claus Land. 78 years later, we get to celebrate our legacy of wonderful family memories with something previous generations couldn’t have even imagined. We hope everyone will join us in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ Saturday night.”

Holidays in the Sky Drone & Fireworks Spectacular runs daily through August 4. The last day of daily operations for Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari is Tuesday, August 13. Kids World, which includes all the rides and slides of Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari PLUS entertainment, activities, and food geared toward kids, begins August 17.
