Deaconess and Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Miller as its new Chief Executive Officer, on Aug. 12.

Miller brings over 17 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role. He most recently served as CEO of Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, a Deaconess affiliate in Lawrenceville, Illinois. His background includes executive positions at Daviess Community Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent, where he focused on strategic development, operations management, and clinical excellence. He also worked as a flight paramedic.

Lynn Lingafelter, President of the Hospitals Division of Deaconess, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment. “Keith Miller’s track record of leadership in both rural and urban healthcare settings makes him an ideal fit for Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center,” Lingafelter said.

“His experience in strategic growth. operational excellence and community engagement align perfectly with Memorial’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the communities we serve. We’re confident that under Keith’s leadership. Memorial Hospital will continue to thrive and expand its services to meet the evolving needs of the region.”

Miller holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Health Services from the University of Southern Indiana. He is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network and the Illinois Hospital Association Rural Hospital Committee.

Miller’s appointment comes after an extensive national search conducted by the hospital’s Board of Directors in collaboration with Deaconess Health System.
