James Paul Northrup, age 62, of Dale, passed away at 1:37 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1962, to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Robert Henry Northrup and Fern (Hoffman) McDermott; and married Lisa Engelbrecht on July 26, 1987, in Lincoln City. James enjoyed listening to music and helping family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; stepfather, William J. McDermott; and brother, Mike Engelbrecht.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Northrup of Dale; father and stepmother, Robert (Lucille) Northrup of Dale; three children, Alitzah (Jon) Alvey of Dale, Jamie (Jared) Goodman of Rockport and Elizabeth Northrup of Dale; seven siblings, Robert Henry Northrup of Iowa, Kimberly (David) Roberts of Monticello, Kentucky, Jerry (Marcey) Northrup of Iowa, Brian Northrup of Dale, Pam (Ron) Lowe of Birdseye, Kay (Blake) Edwards of Dale and Marc (Asma) Engelbrecht of Detroit; and nine grandchildren, Adrian, Mason, Audrey, Brooklyn, Braxton, Cayden, Dominic, Camden and Xander.
Funeral services for James Paul Northrup will be held at 10:00 a.m., C.D.T., Friday, July 12, 2024, at Fuller Funeral Home in Dale. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Minister Gail Russell will officiate the service.
