On Saturday, September 21, the Ferdinand Folk Festival, brought to you by Best Home Furnishings, returns to the beautiful 18th Street Park for its 14th annual event. The 2024 lineup features six local, regional, and national artists.

Our headline artist, Sam Morrow, has carved out a unique sound that transcends genre and geography. His music is a blend of roadhouse rock & roll, bluesy R&B, and country-fried funky-tonk, driven by groove, grease, and guitars. Morrow’s latest album, “On The Ride Here,” offers more than just roadside ephemera and travelogue tales. It reflects on the destination, dealing with hard lessons and new perspectives gained from rest, reflection, and time spent at home. We are thrilled that this journey will bring him to the 2024 Ferdinand Folk Festival!

The NextEra Energy Resources Main Stage will also feature:

  • The Hammer and The Hatchet: John Bowyer and Jayme Hood, familiar faces at the Ferdinand Folk Festival, will bring their original Midwestern Roots music to the main stage for the first time from 12:00 to 12:45 pm.
  • Borrowed Time: From 1:00 to 2:00 pm, this group features Andy and his daughter Ella Rose from the Hagedorn Family Band, along with three members of the Schemenauer family, creating a new blend for Hagedorn’s original songs.
  • Arianna and The Bourbon Britches: Arianna Barton, joined by an all-star female band including Kelsey Lee, Anna Blanton, and Kendra Villager, will perform from 2:15 to 3:30 pm, supporting Barton’s debut album, “Stronger.”
  • The Goodwin Brothers: From 3:45 to 5:15 pm, this nationally touring act will bring bluegrass to Ferdinand. The band features Jonathan and William Goodwin, along with Kenneth (Chase) Bush, and an all-star cast of musicians.
  • Harbor and Home: This Minneapolis-based rock band, led by Kaleb Williams, will play a 90-minute set from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Their music blends roots Americana and classic rock n’ roll, with their latest EP, “Change,” marking a shift toward country.

Sam Morrow will close out the night from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
