Actors Community Theatre is thrilled to announce that tickets are now available for the 2024 Summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music.”

Directed and choreographed by Kayla Kelley of Owensboro, KY, this classic musical promises to captivate audiences of all ages with its heartwarming story based on the post-World War II memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp. The story follows a cheerful postulant who becomes the governess to the seven children of Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to their home.

The production will feature both new and familiar actors at the Jasper Arts Center, including Rebecca Volk, Liz Book, Shelby Gidley, Jaylin McEwan, Vanessa Hickman, Chris Dixon, Linsey England, Juan Lloveras, Eve Gatwood, Matthew Schlachter, Hannah Bartley, Aunalee Weyer, Liliana Davis, David Griffith, Lucy Dixon, Colin McGowan, Kate Letterman Conway, Steven Dunn, Seth Neukam, Alec Lechner, Sylvia Birchler, Grace Bartley, Shannon Knight, Jessica Warden, Bridgette Bartley, Nyx Brooks, and Kirsten Neukam.

“The Sound of Music” will be performed at the Jasper Arts Center, located at 951 College Avenue, Jasper, IN, on the following dates:

  • Thursday, July 25th at 7:00 PM EST
  • Friday, July 26th at 7:00 PM EST
  • Saturday, July 27th at 7:00 PM EST
  • Sunday, July 28th at 2:00 PM EST

Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtimes. General admission tickets, priced at $12 each, are available for ages four and above. Tickets can be purchased online at Actors Community Theatre Tickets. Limited tickets may be available at the door if not sold out. All patrons require a ticket to attend. The show’s run time is approximately three hours, including an intermission.
