Washington City Police were busy investigating an incident on Mill Street on Friday. One person, 46-year-old Ryan D. Miller, is in custody after firing shots. When officers arrived, Miller barricaded himself inside a building and refused to come out.

After several failed attempts to negotiate, gas was deployed, and Miller surrendered without incident.

Miller has been charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and no bond was set. The investigation is ongoing.
