On Tuesday July 30th, at approx. 1:13pm, Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on Silverdale Road just north of State Road 66 in Rockport. It was reported that the female driver was trapped inside a Honda Odyssey.

The vehicle was northbound on Silverdale Road when it left the roadway. After leaving the roadway, the Honda stuck a tree and went down an embankment. A juvenile passenger was able to exit the vehicle, but the driver, Ayla Romans (18), had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The juvenile was transported to a hospital via ambulance with non life threatening injuries. Romans was transported by Helicopter to the hospital.
