The Clem and Mary Lange YMCA is set to celebrate two decades of service and membership with a special event on Monday, August 26, at 5 PM. The ceremony will honor the charter members who have remained with the YMCA since its inception in July 2004. Over 70 individuals and families, who have been dedicated members for the past 20 years, will be recognized for their commitment.
In addition to celebrating its 20th anniversary, the YMCA will also dedicate its newly completed therapy pool. This new facility is part of a 3,000-square-foot expansion announced in November, which also includes a sauna and a stretching area. The 15-by-27-foot therapy pool is designed for a variety of uses, including rehabilitation services, personal training, swim lessons, small group classes, and individual aquatic workouts.
The Clem and Mary Lange YMCA, located in Ferdinand, currently serves over 3,600 members across Dubois, Perry, and Spencer counties. The YMCA constructed its current facility in 2011, followed by an expansion in 2021. With the addition of the new therapy pool, the facility now spans 38,000 square feet.
