The Indiana Forage Council has announced details for its upcoming 2024 Hoosier Hay contest.

This contest is open to any hay or baleage producer in Indiana, and will give out awards based on quality to the top three hays and top three baleages, in each of the categories of pure grass, grass-legume, and pure legume.

Cash prizes will be presented to the winners in each category, with first place receiving $250, second place getting $150, and third taking home $100. Winners will also be recognized by the Indiana Forage Council (IFC) at their annual meeting and on the IFC website, www.indianaforage.org.

Entry fees cost $14 per hay entry, and $20 per baleages entry. Entry forms for the contest must be postmarked by September 30th, 2024.
