Around 7:10 PM on Wednesday, the Jasper Police Department was notified of a possible motor vehicle theft that had occurred and launched an investigation into the claim.

During the investigation, the vehicle in question was located at Memorial Hospital along with the subject, identified as 38-year-old Brandon Casey from Jasper.

Casey was arrested and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center and the vehicle was returned to the rightful owner.

Casey is charged with the following:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Level 6 Felony)
  • Unauthorized Entry of a Vehicle (Level 6 Felony)
  • Criminal Conversion (Level 6 Felony)
  • Criminal Mischief (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Reckless Driving (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Operating Without Ever Receiving A License (Class C Misdemeanor)
