Jerry L. Schneider, age 86, of Holland, passed away on August 27, 2024, at Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana.

                He was born November 3, 1937 in Jasper to Arnold and Anita (Landgrebe) Schneider.  Jerry worked as an electrician for 42 years with Hulsman Electric. In his younger years, he played semi-pro ball for Jasper Reds as a southpaw pitcher.  He could throw a 100-mph fast ball and had a tryout with the White Sox.  He was a member of Hadi Shriners, Freemasons and Eastern Star.  Jerry was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.  He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frederick and Jack Schneider; and a sister Phyllis Pauley.

                He is survived by his children, Stan Schneider of Holland, Shawn (Kevin) Kalb of Dubois, Sarah Schneider of Holland; a brother, Patrick (Virlee) Schneider of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Jean (Bernie) Fehribach of Poseyville; brother-in-law, Jerry “Butch” (Ruth) Fenneman of Holland; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

  Visitation for Jerry L. Schneider will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., E.S.T.  Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation.  Burial will take place on September 6, 2024 at Holland Methodist Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
