The city of Jasper has announced multiple upcoming road closures.
On Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, Calcar Paving and Jasper Water Dept. will close Vine Street between 8th and 9th Streets starting at 7 AM and reopen at around 11 AM. McCrillus Street can be used as a detour during this closure.
At approximately 11 AM, 26th Street between Newton Street and Good Samaritan Senior Living will close; and reopen at around 2 PM. Pleasant View Drive may be used as a detour during this closure.
These closures are for the removal of old asphalt and placing base asphalt.
On Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, both Vine Street and 26th Street will have surface asphalt added to the base asphalt placed on Tuesday. While Wednesday’s paving will not require a closure, drivers should expect delays.
These closures will take place barring inclement weather or any other unforeseen events.
