An oil painting titled “Koleen” created by plein air painter Wyatt LeGrand.

The Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery will be hosting an exhibit of oil paintings by Wyatt LeGrand, titled “Seasons”, from September 3rd, 2024, until October 14th, 2024.

LeGrand is a plein air painter and teacher from Bloomfield, IN. This exhibit showcases work executed on location where changing light conditions necessitate spontaneity and speed of execution.

He earned a degree in visual arts education in 2009 from Indiana University. LeGrand has won many awards in juried shows including Best of Show in 2019 and 2017 at the Indiana Plein Air Painters “First Brush of Spring” event in New Harmony, IN.

He teaches visual art to grades 6-12 at Bloomfield Middle/High School, and his work is represented in collections across the country. His website can be found at wyattlegrand.com.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Those wishing to view the exhibit may want to arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
