The Huntingburg Police Department and Spencer County Sheriff’s Office are mourning the tragic loss of Amanda Klem, wife of Huntingburg Police Department Corporal Ted Klem. Amanda, who had previously served as a deputy sheriff in Spencer County, was found trapped under a mower. The accident occurred while she was mowing near a pond, where the mower tipped over, pinning her underwater.

Despite extensive efforts to save her, Amanda succumbed to her injuries. She leaves behind her husband, Ted, and their 8-month-old daughter, Madison. Funeral arrangements are currently pending.
