The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a lane closure and a temporary road closure for U.S. 41 in Vanderburgh County.

Beginning on or around Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, crews will close the southbound passing lane of U.S. 41 in Evansville. This lane closure is set to occur between Bellemeade Avenue and Washington Avenue and will allow for crane setup.

This crane will be used to install the pedestrian bridge over U.S. 41 near Washington Avenue. Temporary road closures on U.S. 41 will occur overnight on or around August 14th. These closures will allow for lifting and setting of the bridge over the roadway. Crane deconstruction will follow once work is completed.
