Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Golden Ticket Awards held at Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The park won three major awards: Wildebeest was named Best Water Park Attraction for the 13th consecutive year, Holidays in the Sky earned Best Innovation for its unique audience participation drone show, and Good Gravy! secured the new category of Best New Theme Concept.
Good Gravy! was also recognized as a finalist in several other categories, including #2 Best Family Coaster, #4 Best New Coaster, and #5 Best New Attraction Installation. Additionally, Holiday World ranked highly in various other categories: #2 Best Water Park Ride for Mammoth, #2 Best Wood Coaster for The Voyage, #3 Best Water Park for Splashin’ Safari, #3 Best Guest Experience, #5 Best New Show for Holidays in the Sky, and #5 Best Water Park Ride for Cheetah Chase.
The park will remain open on weekends through September 14, with a private event scheduled for September 15. Happy Halloween Weekends will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from September 21 to October 27, featuring the Halloween in the Sky drone show on select dates. Twilight Tickets are available for Sunday visitors to enjoy the park after 5 pm on Saturdays.
