The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed two new deputies: Deputy David Weatherholt and Deputy Jon Cain, both bringing valuable experience and strong community ties.

Deputy Weatherholt, formerly with the Henderson Police Department, has returned to Spencer County, his home. Deputy Cain, a long-time resident, joins from the Owensboro City Police Department, where his family, including his wife who is active in local search and rescue, also lives.

During their presentation to the Merit Board, both deputies were accompanied by their families, underscoring the important role family support plays in law enforcement. This shared commitment is essential to the success of officers.

Deputies Weatherholt and Cain are expected to make significant contributions, strengthening the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office team.
