A unique charity event, “Toys for Tats,” will take place on Sunday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots. The event offers participants the opportunity to receive a tattoo while contributing to a good cause. The event is being put on by Electric Graffiti Tattoo Studio LLC, located 708 Main Street here in Jasper

Organizers plan to have three to four tattoo artists available on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins only will be accepted, and a sign-in sheet will be used to manage the flow of participants. Attendees must be present when their turn is called, or the next person on the list will be served. Each participant is limited to one tattoo image, which must be small, simple, and able to be completed within 30 minutes. Cover-ups and intricate designs will not be accommodated.

Individuals must be at least 18 years old and present a valid ID to participate. The event requires a donation of toys valued at $15 or more, or an equivalent cash donation, in exchange for a tattoo valued at $75. Donations beyond the minimum amount are encouraged, as all proceeds, including tips, will go directly to Toys for Tots to help provide gifts for local children in need. Cash donations will also count toward tattoos, and participants will receive a koozie, a tattoo discount card, and an entry into a raffle for gift certificates and shop merchandise as a thank-you for their generosity.

This event aims to give back to the community and ensure a brighter Christmas for children. Organizers ask participants to keep this in mind when making their donations. Those unable to secure a tattoo spot are still encouraged to donate to the cause.

With the combined efforts of Boone, Kassie, Glenn, Byrd, and other staff, the event promises to be a meaningful way to support local kids while receiving a token of appreciation through body art.
