The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation is now accepting applications for its Health Career Scholarships, open to residents of Daviess, Martin and Pike counties or dependents of Daviess Community Hospital employees from any area. Students pursuing a degree in health care at an accredited institution of higher learning are encouraged to apply. Applications can be found at dchosp.org/our-foundation/health-careers-scholarships/ and must be submitted by Monday, March 17, 2025.

The foundation awards these scholarships annually to support and encourage future health care professionals who plan to return to serve the community in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting. Both full- and part-time students, including traditional and nontraditional applicants, are eligible.

Up to $1,500 may be awarded to each recipient selected for the Health Careers Scholarships. The DCH Auxiliary also provides one scholarship of up to $1,000. In addition, one $750 award will be given through the Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship, designated for a nursing student.

A $5,000 nursing scholarship is available to students entering their final year of a nursing program. This scholarship aims to support future nurses in completing their studies, attaining licensure and pursuing career goals at Daviess Community Hospital. Recipients sign an agreement to remain employed at DCH as a registered nurse in a direct patient care position, full time, for two years.

The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports the mission of Daviess Community Hospital by serving as a channel for philanthropic contributions and by strengthening connections between the hospital and the community.
