Daviess Community Hospital (DCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kym Mavronicles as the new Director of Human Resources, effective January 6. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare HR leadership, Mavronicles brings extensive expertise in employee engagement, strategic planning, and operational excellence to her new role.

Mavronicles expressed her enthusiasm for the position, stating her passion for creating a positive workplace culture, supporting employee growth, and ensuring DCH has the resources needed to achieve its mission. She is particularly eager to make a meaningful impact on both the community and the hospital’s staff.

In her role, Mavronicles plans to strengthen relationships between HR and staff, streamline hiring and onboarding processes, and introduce new recognition and training initiatives to enhance employee engagement. Her approach focuses on aligning HR policies with DCH’s mission of delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.

Mavronicles’ professional background includes leadership roles and consulting for healthcare organizations to drive strategic HR initiatives and operational improvements. She holds several professional certifications, including the SHRM-CP, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.

A resident of Paoli, Indiana, Mavronicles enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their three children, Luke, London, and Chase. Outside of work, she stays busy cheering on her children at sports events, volunteering at school activities, and spending time with the family’s two dogs.
