The Tri-State Better Business Bureau announces today that after 34 years of distinguished leadership and service, President and CEO Cathy Eichele retired from her position, effective January 1, 2025.
Eichele started as the President and CEO for the bureau, which serves 18-counties in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, in 1991. The bureau opened its doors locally in 1985 and celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
“We thank Cathy for her 34 years of dedication, hard work, and contributions,” said Dane Chandler, Chairman of the Tri-State BBB’s Board. “Her commitment has left a lasting impact, and her legacy will be remembered.”
Upon Eichele’s retirement, Susan Bolin, who has served as the bureau’s Vice President of Business Relations since March 2020, assumed the new leadership role. Her promotion to the title of President and CEO became effective January 1.
Bolin has served the Tri-State Better Business Bureau for 14 years, filling various leadership positions and assisting with strategic planning. She graduated from the University of Evansville in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Residing in the local community, Susan, her husband of 25 years, and their two sons, enjoy attending and serving at their local church, and spending time with their two rescue dogs.
“I am honored to have been selected by the Tri-State BBB’s Board of Directors and look forward to further connecting with area businesses, organizations, and consumers, helping to build marketplace trust,” said Bolin. “It has also been a privilege to mentor under Cathy, who has always held standards of excellence and shown deep care for our community.”
