The Crawford County Highway Department is accepting requests for dust control measures on gravel roads for the summer of 2025. Residents living on gravel roads in Crawford County who have respiratory issues or are elderly can submit a request form for consideration. The department will evaluate submissions and implement dust control as funding and weather conditions allow.

To apply, individuals must complete the request form, which will be available in the Clarion News in the following three weekly editions. Residents can either print the form, use the version provided in the newspaper, or complete one in person at the highway office. Those with respiratory conditions must include a physician’s statement. Additionally, residents willing to contribute funds toward dust control are encouraged to indicate the amount on their form.

Completed forms should be mailed to the Crawford County Highway Department at 717 East State Road 64 in English, Indiana. Phone call requests will not be accepted.
