The Warrick County Recycling & Resource Management District is offering free mulch to residents, non-residents, and businesses as part of an effort to manage the excess storm debris collected over the past year. This initiative not only helps clear space at the facility but also provides a valuable resource for landscaping and gardening projects.

The mulch is available at the Warrick County Disposal & Recycling Center, located at 1111 South Pelzer Road in Boonville. The facility operates on Central Standard Time, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Saturdays.

Officials encourage homeowners, landscapers, and businesses to take advantage of the free mulch while supplies last. Mulch can be beneficial for improving soil moisture, reducing weeds, and enhancing the appearance of outdoor spaces. Additionally, utilizing the material helps support the county’s ongoing efforts to manage storm-related waste efficiently.

This free mulch program will remain available until further notice during regular operating hours. For more information, individuals can contact the facility at 812-897-6155.
