The Jasper Police Department has notified the public that Second Avenue has been closed from Third Avenue to Meridan Road at this time.
This closure is due to a traffic accident on Second Avenue and authorities are currently on the scene with emergency crews working in the area.
The public is being advised to avoid the surrounding area for the next few hours, if possible.
