The Dubois County VFW Post #673 will conduct its annual Buddy Poppy donation drive from Saturday, May 3 through Saturday, May 10, 2025.

For 103 years, the red poppy has stood as the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, symbolizing the blood shed by American service members and honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives to protect our freedoms.

The Buddy Poppy drive is also a vital fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds from Post #673 going to support veterans in need throughout Dubois County. Each poppy is assembled by disabled veterans, providing them with a small source of income and a sense of purpose.

Poppies will be available during the drive at numerous businesses across Dubois County and at various local offices throughout Jasper. Community members are encouraged to show their support by making a donation and wearing a poppy with pride.

The Dubois County VFW Post #673 is located at 3131 Newton Street in Jasper.
