A section of Old U.S. Highway 50 in Daviess County is set to close to through traffic starting Wednesday, May 7, 2025, as crews begin work on a bridge rehabilitation project. The closure will affect the stretch between County Road 200 West and County Road 300 West.

Construction is scheduled to continue through Monday, July 28, 2025, with all work dependent on weather conditions. During this time, through traffic will be detoured along U.S. 50, U.S. 150, and State Road 57.

Local access will be maintained throughout the project, ensuring residents and property owners along the closed section can still reach their driveways.

Motorists are urged to plan for potential delays, use alternate routes, and drive cautiously near the work zone. The project is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve infrastructure in the county.
