Young ATV riders in Dubois County have the opportunity to sharpen their skills and stay safe on the trails thanks to a free ATV Safety Training course scheduled for June 21.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), in partnership with the Dubois County Health Department and Forest Park High School FFA, will host the training from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time at the Ferdinand Community Center, located at 1710 Community Drive.

The course is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 18 who reside in Dubois County. Participants will learn about Indiana ATV laws, proper vehicle operation, and general safety guidelines. As an added incentive, those who complete the training will receive a free ATV helmet.
