Brian J. Knies, age 67 of Celestine, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at home.

He was born in Jasper, Indiana on May 4, 1958 to Jerome and Bernice (Kluesner) Knies.  

Brian was a self-employed Stone Mason who worked in the business for over 40 years.

He was a past member of the Celestine Community Club.

He enjoyed spending time on his Harley Davidson, fishing with his sons and grandchildren, genealogy, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons:  Justin Knies (fiancé Madison Scheel), Jasper, and Jesse Knies (fiancé Tonia Schepers) Jasper, six grandchildren:  Leala, Aubrey, Murphy, Eli, Ryley, and Lylianah, three sisters: Pam Spencer (Tom), Birdseye, Iris Gadlage (Bernie), Celestine, Jill Thompson (Jamie), Jasper, three brothers: Christopher Knies, Dubois, Jerry Knies (Holly), Celestine, and John Knies (Kelley), Evansville.

Preceding him in death were his parents Jerome and Bernice Knies. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brian J. Knies will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Celestine cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass time on Thursday May 15, 2025 at St. Celestine Catholic Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Parish.
