Last week in Boonville, a local high school student, Noah Crowley, made a meaningful contribution to the community by donating sensory toys to the Boonville Police Department.

The initiative was part of an English Honors class assignment, where students were encouraged to find ways to give back to their community. Crowley chose to focus on supporting individuals, particularly children, who may find themselves in stressful situations. He raised funds to purchase sensory toys—items designed to provide comfort and aid in emotional regulation during traumatic events.

These toys are now available to officers for distribution during emergency responses, offering a tool to help soothe and calm those affected.

The Boonville Police Department acknowledged Crowley’s efforts, highlighting the positive impact of his actions and the importance of youth-led community involvement.
